The Vassar gymnastics team beat Cass City in a dual meet with a score of 130.575 to 113.475. Vassar gymnasts claimed the top five all-around places with Calista Bickel (Frankenmuth) leading the way.

Bickel’s all-around score was 33.875. Helping her reach this goal were first place finishes on vault (9.1), beam (8.775), and floor (8.7) where she tied with Sydney Histed (Reese). Bickel also came in second on the bars (7.3).

Histed came in second place all-around (32.825). Sydney placed third on vault (9.0) and bars (7.1), second on beam (8.025).

Lydia Chapelo (Caro) placed third all-around (32.375). Chapelo placed second on vault (9.025), first on bars (8.2), and third on floor (8.4).

Sadira Miller (Mayville) placed fourth all-around with a score of 30.45. Miller tied with Hannah Findlay (Reese) for a sixth place on vault (8.45), fifth place on bars (6.8) and beam (7.3), and third place on floor (7.9).

Hannah Findlay (Reese) finished fifth all-around with a 30.0. Findlay placed on vault, fourth on bars (7.0), fourth on beam (7.45), and seventh on floor (7.1).

Other notable finishers for the night:
Vault: Adria Ray (Vassar) fourth place (8.6), Courtney Kalkman (Reese) fifth place (8.475), and Madison DuBois (Vassar) seventh place (8.4).
Bars: Ray eighth place (5.5)
Beam: DuBois sixth place (7.05), Delaney Goodell (Vassar) and Kalkman tied for seventh (6.9)
Floor: Kalkman tied for third on floor (7.9), Ray and DuBois tied for eighth (6.9)

The team travels to Fraser High School on Saturday, January 12th.
