In the second game of the GTW doubleheader against Reese on Tuesday night, pitching dominated the game. The game was called due to darkness after eight full innings at a 0-0 tie.
Max Kukulski got the start for Vassar and pitched with great efficiency. Kukulski threw eight innings of scoreless baseball, allowing only three hits and one walk while striking out eight batters.
Blake Kerr led the Vulcan offense with one hit and three walks in four plate appearances. However, the rest of the offense was held to only four hits and one walk in the contest.
Vassar’s overall record now sits at 12-13-2. The Vulcans finish their GTW conference play with a record of 3-8-1. The Vulcans now prepare to play Laker today in an exhibition contest before playing in the district tournament on Saturday. Today’s doubleheader will begin at 4:00 p.m.
