In the second game of the doubleheader against Lakers, Vassar fell behind early and was unable to overcome early errors in the 9-6 loss.

Jacob Preston was a victim of defensive mistakes after getting the start in game two. Lakers scored seven runs in the first inning against Preston; however, only one run was earned. Ethan Dunham relieved Preston after the first inning, allowing zero earned runs and two hits.

Ricardo Macon led the way for the Vulcans at the plate with three hits and four RBIs. Manee Mendham and Max Kukulski also had one hit a piece.

Vassar’s overall record now sits at 12-12-1 and 3-7 in the GTW Conference. The Vulcans now prepare to finish GTW play, hosting Reese on Tuesday. The doubleheader will begin at 4:00 p.m.
