In the second game of the doubleheader against Millington on Monday night, Vassar was able to complete the sweep, beating the Cardinals 5-2.
Max Kukulski and Ethan Dunham combined to pitch five innings in the contest and allowed only three hits and one earned run together. Kukulski struck out three batters and collected the win on the mound. Dylan Hubbard earned his first career save on the night, pitching the final inning and striking out one batter.
Addison Hansard led the offense with three hits and Romeo Gomez collected two hits of his own on the night. Ricardo Macon, Kukulski, Dunham and Gomez all had one RBI in the contest
Vassar’s record now sits at 8-10-1 overall and 1-5 in the GTW Conference. The Vulcans will host Bentley for a non conference matchup on Wednesday before hosting USA for a conference matchup on Friday. Both games are doubleheaders that begin at 4:00 p.m.
