In the second game of the doubleheader against Capac, the Vassar offense exploded for 14 runs and the game was called after four innings due to mercy rule.
Max Kukulski received the win on the mound, striking out six batters and allowing three hits over three innings pitched. The Vassar offense was dominant in game two, collecting eight hits, four of those being for extra bases. Kukulski, Manny Mendham, and Romeo Gomez each collected two hits in the game. Gomez also added four RBIs to his multi-hit performance.
Vassar’s record has now pulled their record even on the season (3-3) as they head into the beginning of conference play next week. The Vulcans will host Sandusky on Monday in non-conference play before opening conference play against Reese on Thursday. Both doubleheaders begin at 4:00 p.m.
