Middle School Football rolled into Capac Thursday night and won 50-0. Offensively Vassar was led by a strong performance by the offensive line that allowed Layton Cartner to run for 4 touchdowns with 3 of them being for over 60 yards. Melo Poe also benefited from terrific blocking and great vision as he ran into the end zone for a touchdown. Trevor Gleason found his way back into the end zone this week on long pass from Layton Cartner. Landon Reid, Blake Karr, and Trevor Gleeson all made it in for two point conversions. The defense was strong all night as well with Chayce Zarko rounding out the Vulcan scoring by stealing the ball from the Capac offense and returning it all the way for the last Vulcan touchdown of the night. Vassar plays Memphis at home next Thursday.
